History of Sentinel Life
Sentinel Life, originally known as Sentinel Mutual Insurance Company, began in Utah in 1948 by a group of funeral directors. The company was originally started to provide insurance for people to help cover funeral costs.
The company has since expanded to offer a broader range of insurance and financial services. Over the years, it has also acquired three insurance companies: Uinta National Insurance Company of Utah, National Mutual Insurance Company of Utah, and United Reserve Life Company of Montana.
Products Offered By Sentinel Life
- Life Insurance: Sentinel Life offers life insurance that helps pay for final expenses like funeral costs. Coverage ranges from $1,000 to $35,000 and can usually be obtained without a medical examination. Applicants simply need to complete a health questionnaire when applying. There are several premium options available, so you can choose one that meets your budget and needs.
- Medicare Supplement Insurance: This policy helps pay for medical expenses that are not paid for by Medicare Part A or B. Medicare Supplement Insurance does not replace Medicare; it is simply designed to be an addition to standard Medicare. There are a number of Medicare Supplement Plans to choose from, and Sentinel Life offers the majority of them.
Keep in mind that insurance rates and availability vary according to age, health status, and where you live.
